Think Spring!

The anticipation of spring can also bring the dread of allergy symptoms to a great many people. Our region has an abundance of spring pollinating trees and plants, which can cause much discomfort and pain. Some of the most common trees, weeds and grasses to pollinate March throughJune are:



  • Trees: Ash (white & green), Beech, Birch (red, yellow, river and sweet), Box Elder, Cottonwood, Hazelnut, Hickory (all), Maple (all), Mulberry (all), Oak (black, pin, red, spanish, water and willow), Pecan, Popular, Privet, Spruce, Sweetgum, Sycamore, and Black Walnut.

  • Weeds: Dock (bitter, sour, yellow, & tall) and English Plantain.

  • Grasses: Bermuda, Bluegrass, Meadow Fescue, June Grass, Oat, Orchard Grass, Rye, Sweet Vernal & Wheat.
